Mat 9:9-13

Yesus datang ke dunia untuk membangun suatu masyarakat baru dan bukan untuk sekedar membuat kita bertahan dari serangan kecemaran dunia. Kerajaan Yesus adalah kerajaan yang bersifat menyerang, bukan kerajaan yang hanya bertahan untuk menghadapi serangan musuh.

Kita sebagai orang percaya memiliki sumber-sumber yg sangat powerful. Kita punya strategi, senjata dan kita punya dukungan kekuatan dari kerajaan Bapa
Yang paling dahsyat dari semua itu adalah kita memiliki kasih karunia dari Tuhan yang menyanggupkan kita untuk melakukan apa yang Tuhan kehendaki kita lakukan. Kitaperlu belajar untuk bergantung pada kasih karunia Tuhan. Ini adalah sebuah disiplin penyerahan diri untuk membiarkankuasaNya disempurnakan di dalam dan melalui kita. Di pihak lain kita perlu menjadi agresif dalam membagikan kasih karunia tersebut bagi orang lain. Bagi Yesus untuk mengunjungi Matius dia harus menyakiti reputasinya sendiri karena Matius adalah penipu banyak orang tapi Yesus menemukan dan mengubahkan kehidupan Matius. Itulah kasih karunia yang bekerja melalui Yesus dan menjamah Matius.
Kita semua butuh kasih karunia, tidak ada seorangpun di alam semesta in yang tidak membutuhkan kasih karunia. Untuki mengikuti Yesus kita perlu kasih karunia, kalau tidak kita pasti gagal. Untuk menerima kasih karunia kita perlu iman. Karena hanya oleh iman kita dapat menerima sesuatu diluar kemampuan kita. Karena kata kasih karunia berarti seorang yang membungkukkan dirinya untuk mengangkat seseorang yang telah jatuh keatas sejajar dengan dirinya. Tepat seperti itulah yang Yesus lakukan bagi kita. Dia menyerang kesia-siaan kita dengan kasih karunia, mengasihi dan membangun kita menjadi berarti supaya melalui kehidupan kita banyak orang lain yang boleh mengalami kesempatan diubahkan dalam kasih karunia. Jadi kita semua adalah agen-agen perubahan!!! Ide yang hebat.

Untuk hidup dalam kasih karunia adalah hidup dengan mentalitas pembangun, ini adalah tanda khusus dari seorang murid Tuhan. Guru Agung kita tidak akan menghabiskan waktuNya untuk mengkritik dan merendahkan kita tapi Dia akan menggunakan semua kuasa dan kemampuanNya untuk membangun kita. Itulah kasih karunia yang bekerja di dalam kita.
Kita dipanggil untuk menjadi pembangun manusia, masyarakat dan bangsa.

Jesus came to the world to change it, meaning to build a new society and not only to make us survive and being on defense from the attack of uncleanness of this world. His Kingdom is an aggressive and offensive kingdom.
As believers we have a lot of powerful resources. We have strategies, weapons and we have the whole support from our Father’s kingdom
The most powerful weapon that we have is GRACE which enables us to do anything that He wants us to do. We need to learn to depend on the grace of God. This is a discipline of surrender to let His power become perfect in and through us. On the other hand we need to be aggressive in sharing this grace to others. For Jesus to visit Matthew, He had to hurt His reputation because Matthew was cheating people, but Jesus found and changed him. That is grace which worked through Jesus and touched Matthew.
We all need grace, no one in this universe who does not need grace. To follow Jesus we need grace to enable us other wise we are all doomed to fail. To receive grace we need faith. Because only faith that will accept something beyond our ability to receive. Because the word grace means a person who bend down to lift a person who have fallen to raise him at his level. This is exactly what Jesus had done to us. He attacked our vanities with His grace, loved and built us to be significant so through our lives many other would have a chance to experience changed by His grace. SO we all are agents of change!!! What a powerful thought that is.
To live in Grace is to live in a builder mentality. This is a real mark of a disciple. Our Master would not spend his time critique and put us down but He will use all available power and might to build us up. That is grace that works within us. We are called to build people, society, nations.

Jesus called His twelve disciples and gave them power to cast out demons and to heal all sickness and illness. Matthew.

The discipleship always starts with the calling. The calling of God is an absolute to us. The Bible told in Psalms 50:1, that from the rising of the sun to its set, God called the earth. God wants all the nations to be His disciples, God is willing to make all the earth to be His disciples. For that, He wants the earth to give a response to His calling.
Anyone who responses would be given power or charisma to be His child. A power to be His disciple to help others to be released from the evil spirits.
Power is the gift of God to us, and it is given to do good things, to build and to impact good things for the Kingdom of God. However, the power needs to be balanced out with character. Because power without character would destroy the personality of the one who posses it and also destroys the life of the people surround. In this case, the balance between character and power is very significant.
A person's character who is growing in a discipleship process would make that person to be a disciple that serves with a building power, to give life and bless others without looking for his own interest.
Let us see in this week how we would use the power and gifts or any talents that God gives us. Start to use your God-given ability to build and to give for the ones who needs it. If we use a simple language, it is GIVE WHAT YOU HAVE SO GOD WOULD GIVE WHAT YOU DO NOT HAVE...
